team name and logo

This year, my team for the film opening consists of Evanna, Nicol, and Antonia. When we were faced with the task of deciding our logo and name, we decided to go with something simple, neutral, but still kind of bold, so we combined our initials, and created

"NEVA Studios". For our logo, we tried a couple of different things.

At first we sketched out some quick drafts in Procreate just to decide on an idea. We were debating between a simple, bold black one, a chaotic pop of color "bang sound effect" one, or a snow themed one, because in spanish Neva means snow.

We decided to move on with the simple black one because it is more neutral and will go along with any themes that we choose in the future. We cleaned it up and made it look a bit more professional using Illustrator, and this is what we came up with:

We spent about two hours trying to figure out how to use Illustrator, as none of us have any previous experience with it. We ended up getting really frustrated with the process and results, so we started messing around in Microsoft Paint, and drew a logo in about two minutes. We ended up actually liking that version much more, as it had more personality, and wasn't as rigid as the previous ones. So, with this being said, we decided to use this version as our logo.
