How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
I decided to create an audio of me answering this question. I also included a written version to follow along in case it's difficult to recall information simply from audio.
"At the beginning of creating the movie we had some trouble with the simpler aspects like fully organizing ourselves and also realizing what would be possible, and what wouldn’t be possible to complete, due to us overestimating our abilities and equipment. After the first filming session, we were able to realize exactly what to revise and simplify within the script. I was able to come up with some solutions to errors within the script, so I would definitely say that I improved on thinking quickly to solve problems while staying on task. This was probably one of the largest improvements that I experienced personally. Along with this I was also able to improve my writing skills as I was directly involved in the writing and editing process of nearly all of the blog posts. I’m now much better at formulating my thoughts into cohesive paragraphs and posts that are understandable to the reader. I also improved in team working skills and communication, which are two very important aspects of production, especially when we need to make sure that everyone is contributing and having their opinions heard. Lastly, I feel like I improved majorly in time-management and attention to detail, two skills that I was lacking in before. Having to meet deadlines that we set for ourselves in order to make sure that we were staying on track helped to keep us organized and also helped me improve my time management skills, as I knew that if I personally wasn’t able to meet these deadlines, my entire team would suffer. This helped in keeping me motivated and on task, overall improving my skills."
